Phase I — The Founding Collective
Montana Bison Fiber Collective
Founding Record — 2026
In 2026, a group of early supporters helped establish the first public chapter of the Montana Bison Fiber Collective.
Through their support of our inaugural Kickstarter campaign, these individuals helped make possible the early work required to build a responsible American bison fiber supply chain — including professional shearing, careful fiber handling, and the development of dedicated domestic processing.
Great textiles do not begin in the mill. They begin in the shearing shed.
The work of building this supply chain is deliberate. It requires knowledge of the animals, the fiber, and the craftspeople who transform raw material into enduring goods. Phase I marks the beginning of that work.
The individuals listed below supported the first public campaign of the Montana Bison Fiber Collective in 2026. Their support helped establish the early infrastructure required to responsibly harvest, process, and manufacture textiles from American bison fiber.
This page remains part of the permanent record of the Collective.
